Junior Art Lovers' Gallery
In addition to 50+ artists and multiple entertainers, The July 15th Linn Creek Arts Festival is continuing a popular opportunity for young people to connect with art! The Junior Art Lovers’ Gallery will be exhibition with items for sale that children age four though twelve will be able to purchase. This “NO PARENTS ALLOWED” event will give children an opportunity to browse and select an item that peaks their interest.
Ushered by a festival volunteer, children will be able to look at the art objects and make a cash purchase. All for sale items will be donated by participating festival artists, and will be priced up to $10. As there will be a limited number of items, sales are limited to one item per child. The young buyers will receive a card with the artist’s biography and directions to the artist’s booth.
Chairperson Karen Berger, encourages families to checkout The Junior Art Lover’s Gallery early in the day! The tent, located just west of the main entrance to Fisher Community Center, off Anson Street, will open at 10 am and close when all of the art is sold. “We hope kids will take their new treasure to the artist’s booth and meet the artists,” states Karen. “It’s a great ‘selfie’ photo-op!”
